Earlys Years SEND Caseworker - Hertfordshire Rate: £275-£290 per dayWorking Arrangements: Full time, Hybrid Key Responsibilities Managed Early Years statutory SEND casework within a Local Authority setting, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and SEND legislation. Managed complex EHC cases from initial assessment through to EHCP development, review and amendment. Worked collaboratively with parents, early years settings, schools and multi-agency professionals to identify needs and secure appropriate provision. Applied strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory processes to support effective decision-making. Provided guidance and support to junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and assisting with complex casework where required. Managed competing priorities and caseloads effectively, working with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. Maintained accurate case records and monitored statutory deadlines to ensure timely progression of cases. What we are looking for: Minimum 3 years'' Local Authority SEND experience, with strong knowledge of statutory SEND processes. Proven experience managing complex Early Years SEND cases and working across the EHC assessment and review process. Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, Children and Families Act 2014 and statutory timescales.
