Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant - Houghton Regis | September Start

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in Houghton Regis looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children at the very start of their educational journey, helping them build confidence, communication skills and a love of learning in a nurturing Early Years setting.

The role:

• Supporting children in Nursery and Reception with Special Educational Needs
• Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions
• Encouraging speech, language, social and emotional development through play-based learning
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and outside professionals
• Creating a safe, positive and engaging environment where every child can thrive

We''re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children in an Early Years or SEN setting (school, nursery or childcare)
• Is patient, calm and genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Is proactive, reliable and happy to get involved in all aspects of school life
• Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is happy to obtain one
