ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd is currently supporting a high-quality nursery setting in Wantage with the recruitment of three exciting Early Years positions.

Position 1: Nursery PractitionerSalary: Up to £28,000 per year (DOE & hours)
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (flexible patterns available)
Join a welcoming and supportive nursery team, delivering high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5 years.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding care and learning experiences
- Support children’s development in line with EYFS
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintain safeguarding and health & safety standards
- Work collaboratively within the nursery team
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS
- Previous UK nursery experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Salary: Up to £34,000 per year (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time considered)
A fantastic opportunity for a senior practitioner ready to step into leadership, supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Manager and Deputy in leading the nursery
- Oversee daily operations and maintain high standards
- Lead, mentor, and support nursery practitioners
- Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
- Support staff training and development
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required
- Build positive relationships with parents and families
- Cover management responsibilities in senior staff absence
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (essential)
- Proven experience in a senior or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Setting: 40+ children | 15+ staff members
Lead and inspire a team of practitioners, focusing on staff development and high-quality provision within a well-established nursery setting.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all aspects of nursery operations
- Develop and mentor staff through coaching and training
- Ensure high-quality EYFS delivery across all rooms
- Maintain Ofsted compliance and safeguarding standards
- Build strong partnerships with parents and external agencies
- Oversee curriculum planning and child development
- Manage health & safety, policies, and procedures
- Support recruitment and staff development
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (essential)
- Proven experience in nursery management or senior leadership
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
