Early Years ASD Teaching AssistantHarrow, North West London 110 - 125 per day Full-Time Long-TermAbout the RoleLong Term Futures are working with an inclusive primary school in Harrow to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.The role will involve providing targeted support within an Early Years setting, helping children develop their communication, social interaction, independence and engagement with learning.Key responsibilities include:Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with ASDSupporting communication, social interaction and emotional regulationEncouraging learning through play-based and structured activitiesSupporting transitions, routines and changes throughout the school dayUsing visual timetables, now-and-next boards and other autism-specific strategiesHelping pupils develop independence and confidenceWorking closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider SEND teamThe Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who:Has experience supporting children with autism or additional needsIdeally has experience within Early YearsIs patient, nurturing and able to build positive relationshipsUnderstands the importance of routine, structure and consistencyIs proactive and actively engages children in learning and playHas strong communication and teamwork skillsExperience with PECS, Makaton, Attention Autism or speech and language support would be particularly beneficial.What''s on Offer 110 - 125 per day, ..... full job details .....
