Supply Desk are proud to be working with a large, inclusive mixed secondary school in Gillingham that prides itself on fostering confidence, independence, and success in every student. The school are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group literacy support for students with Dyslexia and specific learning difficulties.

This is a full-time role starting November 2025, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small group interventions to support students with Dyslexia.
• Implement literacy and study support strategies to improve reading, writing, and confidence.
• Collaborate closely with the SENDCo, subject teachers, and learning support team to ensure consistent and effective support.
• Track progress and adapt interventions to meet individual learning needs.
• Encourage and celebrate student achievements, promoting self-esteem and resilience.
• Adhere to school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:

• Experience supporting secondary-aged students with Dyslexia or specific learning difficulties.
• Dyslexia-specific training or qualifications (e.g., Level 3 or above desirable).
• A calm, patient, and encouraging approach to learning support.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping students reach their potential.
• Commitment to a long-term to permanent position within the school community.
