About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Dyslexia Teacher to provide targeted, evidence-based literacy intervention for a pupil requiring daily support. This role is essential in helping the pupil close the attainment gap with peers and reach literacy levels that reflect his underlying potential. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialist literacy teaching for no less than one hour per day, five days a week. Design and implement structured lessons that support reading, writing, and spelling development in line with the pupil''s specific needs. Use evidence-based strategies and interventions within the Assess, Plan, Do, Review framework. Work collaboratively with the pupil s Teaching Assistant to ensure continuity of approach across the week. Track and report on progress regularly, making adjustments to the intervention plan as necessary. Promote a nurturing and encouraging learning environment to boost confidence and independence. Requirements: Level 5 (or above) qualification in teaching learners with dyslexia/specific learning difficulties. Proven experience working with pupils with literacy difficulties or dyslexia. Ability to implement personalised, multi-sensory teaching methods. Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in collaborating with support staff.
