DVC Sports Centre Duty Officer Location: Dearne Valley Campus, Rotherham Salary: £25,456 per annum plus benefits Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time including Evenings and Weekends Closing Date: 26th May 2026 The Role Join the vibrant DVC Sports Centre team as a Duty Officer and take centre stage in delivering an exceptional, customer-first experience for our members, learners, and staff. Your Impact Drive Daily Operations: Keep our energetic sports centre running seamlessly during your shifts. Champion Safety: Maintain top-tier health and safety standards to protect our community. Maximize Bookings: Manage facility schedules efficiently to keep our spaces bustling and active. Your Leadership Empower Your Team: Act as a key member of our operational management squad, providing daily guidance, support, and motivation to staff. Lead by Example: Step up as a versatile leader to cover shifts, manage absences, and even lead classes when needed. You will hold a minimum of a Level 3 Sports or Leisure related qualification, a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification and a full First Aid at Work qualification. (First Aid will need to be done whilst in post if not already obtained) You will have experience of supervisory responsibilities and significant knowledge of health and safety guidelines in a sports and leisure centre environment.
