Location: Stevenage (fully onsite)Duration: 12 month initial contractRate: 67.75ph UMB to 74.32ph UMB (Inside IR35) Role details:We are looking for a DV cleared Windows Engineer to support our defence client in Stevenage. The successful candidate will be part of the Digital Excellence function, providing critical IT services to the business, ensuring the security and efficiency of operations within highly restricted environments. Key Responsibilities:Provide operational support, administration, and configuration management across Infrastructure and Workplace Windows Environments.Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the business IT environment.Plan and coordinate maintenance and patching across Windows Environments.Manage changes to the restricted Windows Environment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.Create, maintain, and audit inventory information and asset registers.Develop and maintain high-quality documentation and problem resolution guides.Resolve incidents related to Windows Services in line with agreed SLAs, escalating as necessary.Act as Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for Windows-related issues, performing incident response and remediation.Coordinate with incident and technical managers during high-severity incidents.Identify root causes of recurring incidents and implement long-term solutions.
