Duty and Assessment Social Worker Location: Lancaster Central Library / White Cross, Lancaster (Lancashire) Department: FDAA MASH DandA (Fylde and Bay Area) Pay Rate: £39.00 per hour Interviews: As soon as possible (ASAP) About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children''s Social Worker to join the Front Door and Assessment / Duty and Assessment (FDAA MASH DandA) team covering the Fylde and Bay Area (Lancaster). In this fast-paced statutory post, you will deliver robust, child-centred interventions-building trusting relationships with families using a trauma-informed, strength-based approach to assess needs and manage safeguarding risks effectively. Key Responsibilities Assessments and Home Visits: Complete timely, structured, and highly analytical assessments while carrying out purposeful home visits and keeping children and families informed at every stage. Risk Management and Safeguarding: Identify, analyse, and respond swiftly to safeguarding concerns, actively contributing to strategy discussions and Child Protection processes. Relational Practice: Build trusting, effective relationships with children and families using trauma-informed, child-centred, and strength-based methodologies. Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely alongside partner agencies to ensure coordinated care planning and transparent, effective information-sharing.
