Job Title: Civil Operative (Dumper Operative/Groundworker) - National Grid Person & HSG47
Location: Iron Acton 132/275kV Substation, BS37 9TX.
Start Date: 05/05/2026
Duration: Until 27/11/2026
Hours: 45 hours per week (07:30 - 17:30)
Rate: -25 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (Limited Company not permitted)

Role Overview:
We are currently looking for 2 x Civil Operatives (Groundworkers) to join a long-term National Grid substation project. This is a strong opportunity for experienced operatives with the right competencies to secure consistent work on a major infrastructure scheme.

Requirements:
Essential:

• National Grid Person (NG Person)
• Forward Tipping Dumper Ticket
• HSG47 (2-Day) Certification
• Full PPE required before starting on site

Candidates without the above will not be considered.

Duties will include:

• General groundworks within a high-voltage substation environment
• Excavation, duct laying, and reinstatement works
• Safe operation of forward tipping dumper
• Working in line with strict National Grid safety procedures
