Job Title: Dumper Driver with National Grid Persons

Contract Length: 6 months
Hours: 46.5 per week

Our client is looking for an experienced Dumper Driver/Groundworker to join their Civils team on a live substation construction project. The role will involve safe and efficient operation of forward tipping dumpers, supporting groundworks and general site operations for a National Grid Substation project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dumper to transport earth, materials, and equipment around the site
• Support groundworkers and site operatives in material movement and earthworks
• Carry out pre-start checks and daily maintenance on the machine
• Follow site safety rules and contribute to a safe working environment
• Work under the direction of the site supervisor and support wider team activities as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• CPCS or NPORS card with Dumper Driver category (Forward Tipping etc.)
• Previous experience working on civils or substation/utility projects preferred
• Must Hold National Grid Persons
• Understanding of site safety and machine operation best practices
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions clearly
• Must have own PPE
• Manual handling or other site safety certifications
