Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer

Overview

We are looking for smart meter engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in customers’ homes, so you’ll need to be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself. You’ll be fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in-home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading.As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, you’ll have access to the resources needed to deliver top-class service. You’ll be supported by an office team with shared performance goals and backed by Octopus Energy’s technology power, enabling efficient processes and more time spent on service delivery.Responsibilities

Fit smart meters and demonstrate how the meter and in-home display work to customers.Explain how the devices help save energy and answer customer questions about the green energy revolution.Represent Octopus Energy brands in customers’ homes with a focus on safety and customer excellence.What you’ll need

MOCoPA (held within the last 3 years) with evidenceGas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 pointsWhat we offer

Rotating call-out schedule once every five weeks with £250 retainer; paid door to door when called outSaturday rates: £50 attendance, £70 dual fuel installation, £35 single fuel installation; technical aborts paid at half rateNext steps

If eligible, you’ll be invited to an in-person recruitment event (Octopalooza) to demonstrate your skills.On the day, you’ll undergo qualifications checks, a practical trade test, and an interview with an Area Manager.
