DT Technician Secondary Schools in Hackney Flexible Supply and Full-Time Opportunities Competitive Daily RatesLocation: Hackney, East LondonPay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experienceContract: Flexible supply and full-time opportunitiesAbout the Role Principal Education is seeking a practical, reliable and enthusiastic Design and Technology (DT) Technician to support secondary schools across Hackney.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering, carpentry, construction, manufacturing or product design who wants to put their practical skills to use in an educational setting.You will work alongside the DT department to prepare resources, maintain workshop equipment and ensure practical lessons run safely and smoothly. Candidates with relevant technical qualifications or hands-on industry experience are encouraged to apply. Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential.Key Responsibilities Prepare tools, materials and equipment for Design and Technology lessons. Set up and organise workshop spaces before practical activities. Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment. Check, maintain and organise tools, machinery and equipment. Assist teachers with practical demonstrations and classroom activities. Monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available when required.
