DT Technician

I am recruiting for a Design and Technology Technician to support a thriving Design and Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping students develop practical skills and creativity in a well-equipped and innovative learning environment.The successful candidate will provide technical and practical support to teaching staff and students across a range of specialist areas, ensuring that equipment, materials and workshops are maintained to a high standard.Key Responsibilities:Prepare materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons.Support teachers and students during Design and Technology classes.Maintain machinery, tools and specialist equipment in line with health and safety requirements.Manage stock levels, order materials and maintain accurate inventories.Ensure workshops, classrooms and storage areas are organised, clean and safe.Assist with displays, projects, exhibitions and school events where required.Carry out routine safety checks and maintain relevant records.Support the department in promoting high-quality teaching and learning experiences.The Successful Candidate Will Have:Experience of working with tools, machinery and workshop equipment.A good understanding of health and safety practices.Strong organisational and time-management skills.The ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.Experience in an educational setting would be advantageous but is not ..... full job details .....
