Job Description:
- Deliver engaging and practical lessons acrossandnbsp;KS3 and KS4 Design andamp; Technology, includingandnbsp;Resistant Materials,andnbsp;Product Design, andandnbsp;Engineering Principles
- Inspire students to think critically, work creatively, and developandnbsp;hands-on skillsandnbsp;using a range of tools, materials, and technologies
- Promoteandnbsp;health and safety awarenessandnbsp;in the workshop and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Use a variety ofandnbsp;formative and summative assessmentsandnbsp;to track progress and inform planning
- Collaborate with colleagues to supportandnbsp;cross-curricular projects,andnbsp;STEM initiatives, andandnbsp;enrichment activities
- Encourage students toandnbsp;prototype ideas,andnbsp;problem-solve, and take pride in their craftsmanship
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience teaching DT at secondary level (desirable but not essential)
- Be a reflective and adaptable practitioner with strongandnbsp;classroom managementandnbsp;andandnbsp;differentiationandnbsp;skills
- Demonstrate a commitment toandnbsp;inclusive education,andnbsp;safeguarding, andandnbsp;student wellbeing
- Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Be enthusiastic aboutandnbsp;continuous professional development,andnbsp;team collaboration, andandnbsp;design innovation
