Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charity who are looking for a drug and alcohol worker for an ongoing locum role based in Barrow-In-Furness.

As a dedicated Drug and Alcohol Worker, you will be the cornerstone of support for individuals grappling with substance misuse. Your role will be integral in empowering clients to overcome their challenges and achieve a healthier, more stable lifestyle. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the complexities surrounding drug and alcohol dependency and have a proven track record of delivering effective support services. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to build trust and rapport with clients, while your ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team will ensure a holistic approach to care. Your resilience and adaptability will be key in navigating the diverse challenges that this role presents.

Key Duties will include:

•Carrying out triage/screening assessments and comprehensive assessments with service users.

•Working collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, key working and interventions to promote individual service user progression from engagement, through structured treatment to self-sustained recovery.

•Facilitating service user access to treatment and community resources to increase recovery and social capital, supporting service users and their families within their local community.

•Leading effective case management for allocated service users, including on-going processes such as risk assessments, risk management plans and safeguarding assessments and plans. This includes the effective use of an online case management system

The role available is based on a rollong 3-month contract with a view to go permanent in the future. 

The working hours are Monday - Friday 9-5 with a pay rate on offer of £15.00/h
