This Drivers Mate role involves delivering large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering includes flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods and other bulky household items. Due to the weight of the products you will be delivering, you must be physically fit and capable of carrying heavy items safely. The client operates seven days a week, and as a Drivers Mate you will receive a weekly rota of 5–6 shifts per week. Weekend work is involved and will be expected. Please only apply if you are available to work weekends as well as weekdays. Start times are 06:00, and shifts typically last around 9–11 hours. As a Drivers Mate , you will also be responsible for calling customers ahead of delivery to provide an estimated arrival time, so excellent customer service and telephone skills are essential. You will also be trained to become a 'Banksman', ensuring that you are outside the lorry at all times when it is reversing to guide the driver and ensure the manoeuv... Permanent
