We are recruiting for multiple Drivers Mate positions to support a very well-known UK retail brand based near the LS9, Leeds area of West Yorkshire.

Key Details

• Job Title: Drivers Mate (Delivery Assistant / Driver Helper / Delivery Porter)
• Pay Rate: £12.45 per hour
• Shifts / Hours: Various day shifts available (see below)
• Days: Monday to Saturday (rotating shift patterns)
• Location: Leeds, LS9 Area, West Yorkshire
• Contract: Temporary (ongoing, covering increased demand)

About the Role

These roles are temporary to cover an increase in demand and involve working alongside professional Delivery Drivers to ensure a smooth and efficient home delivery service.

As a Drivers Mate / Delivery Assistant / Driver’s Assistant, you will:

• Assist drivers with the delivery of white goods, appliances, and furniture.
• Provide excellent customer service in customers’ homes as a Home Delivery Assistant.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Operate handheld scanners and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Handle heavy lifting on a daily basis as part of the Delivery Crew.

These opportunities are also suitable for those who have worked as a Driver Helper, Van Mate, Delivery Porter, Transport Assistant, Logistics Assistant, or Multi-Drop Delivery Assistant or Drivers Assistant or may have experience working as a Delivery Crew Member or Multi-Drop Delivery Assistant.

In this role, you will assist the driver in delivering goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely. You will play a crucial part in maintaining high standards of customer service while handling the logistics of the delivery process.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have previous experience as a Drivers Mate, Delivery Assistant, Delivery Porter, or Delivery Helper.
• Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
• This role involves heavy lifting and manual handling on a daily basis, so candidates must be comfortable with the physical demands of the job.
• Have strong attention to detail and a positive, problem-solving attitude.
• Can work flexibly to meet shift demands.

Shifts & Hours

There are multiple shift patterns available:

A Shift

• Monday to Saturday: 6.00am – 5.00pm
• Monday to Saturday: 8.30am – 7.30pm

B Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 10.30am – 9.30pm
• Friday: 9.30am – 8.30pm
• Saturday: 7.00am – 6.00pm
