This is a full-time role working 8:30am to 4:15pm. Key Responsibilities Assist the Waste Management Officer with the day-to-day supervision of waste collection teams. Allocate work and provide clear instructions to operational crews, ensuring all duties are completed within agreed timescales. Support the collection of domestic, commercial and industrial waste, recycling and compostable materials across the borough. Monitor the progress of collection rounds and complete all required service and round status information. Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment are used safely and correctly, reporting any defects through the appropriate channels. Promote high standards of customer service, health and safety, hygiene and operational performance. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation, safe working practices and manufacturer operating procedures.
