Driver / Stores AssistantPay: 13.47 per hourHours: 40 hours per week, Monday - ThursdayContract: Temporary to Permanent - initial 12-week periodStart: ImmediateWe are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Driver / Stores Assistant to join a busy engineering/manufacturing environment.This is a varied, hands-on position combining driving and delivery duties with stores and warehouse responsibilities. The role offers an excellent four-day working week and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following the initial 12-week period.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving a company pickup or van to collect and deliver parts, materials and equipmentCompleting local and regional deliveriesSupporting the stores and spares department when not drivingReceiving and processing incoming goodsPicking, packing and preparing parts for dispatchLoading and unloading company vehiclesMaintaining accurate stock and inventory recordsKeeping the stores area clean, safe and organisedCarrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting defectsFollowing all company health and safety proceduresSkills and ExperienceEssential:Full UK Driving Licence - clean licence preferredMust be aged 25+ for company vehicle insurancePrevious driving, stores, warehouse or logistics experienceGood organisational skills and attention to detailReliable with excellent attendance and timekeepingComfortable working independently and as part of a teamDesirable:Experience within engineering, manufacturing or an industrial ..... full job details .....
