About the Role

Pertemps Enfield is seeking a Driver / Shunter to join an automotive manufacturer in Dagenham. This full-time, temporary role pays £14.80 per hour. You will move vehicles safely around the site, supporting smooth production and logistics operations. The working pattern begins with a three-week training period, Monday to Thursday 7:00am–4:00pm and Friday 7:00am–2:00pm. After training, you will follow a rotational shift pattern: week one is Monday to Friday 6:00am–2:00pm, and week two is Monday to Thursday 2:00pm–midnight. We require safety-conscious drivers with a valid licence and a reliable approach. This ongoing position suits those who can work flexibly and maintain efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

Working HoursInitial Training Period (First 3 Weeks):

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm

Following Training: Rotational Shift Pattern

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – Midnight

Key Responsibilities

Safely move vehicles around the manufacturing facility and compounds.
Carry out vehicle shunting duties in accordance with site procedures.
Ensure vehicles are parked and positioned accurately.
Conduct basic visual inspections and report any damage or defects.
Follow all health and safety regulations and site rules.
Work as part of a team to maintain efficient site operations.
Maintain high standards of professionalism and vehicle care.

Essential RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:

Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
Have held your driving licence for a minimum of 1 year.
Have 0 penalty points on your licence.
Be confident driving manual vehicles.
Be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Be able to work the required shift pattern.
Have excellent attention to detail.
