Yard Operative (Vehicle Compound) - Stallingborough / Immingham GI Group Grimsby are recruiting a Yard Operative for an ongoing, full-time role based at a busy vehicle compound in the Stallingborough / Immingham area. This is a great opportunity for someone confident working outdoors and happy with a hands-on yard role. Key duties includeMoving/relocating vehicles safely around the vehicle compoundChecking vehicles for damage and reporting issues at first instanceUsing a handheld terminal scanner (full training provided)Supporting yard operations and general compound organisationProgressing into load lane pulling as you become experienced in the roleWalking is involved in the role Hours, Pay and OvertimeMonday to Friday with the occasional Saturdays in peak periods(Apply online only) and (Apply online only) rotating weekly 12.91 per hourSaturday (after 40 hours): 19.37 per hour (time and a half)Sunday (after 40 hours): 25.82 per hour RequirementsMust hold a FULL UK Manual Driving Licence Held for 2+ years22 years of age and overComfortable working with Manual, Electric and Automatic transmissions3-6 points minimum on driving licence can be accepted, subject to endorsement code What we''re looking forComfortable working in an outdoor yard environmentStrong attention to detail when checking vehicles for damageReliable, safety-conscious and able to follow site processesHappy to learn new systems (scanner training provided) Benefits of the roleFree PPE provided upon ..... full job details .....
