Job Advert - Yard Operative (Vehicle Compound) - Stallingborough / Immingham

GI Group Grimsby are recruiting a Yard Operative for an ongoing, full-time role based at a busy vehicle compound in the Stallingborough / Immingham area. This is a great opportunity for someone confident working outdoors and happy with a hands-on yard role.

The Role

You''ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day movement and checking of vehicles within the compound.

Key duties include:

• Moving/relocating vehicles safely around the vehicle compound
• Checking vehicles for damage and reporting issues at first instance
• Using a handheld terminal scanner (full training provided)
• Supporting yard operations and general compound organisation
• Progressing into load lane pulling as you become experienced in the role
• Walking is involved in the role

Pay & Overtime

• -12.91 per hour
• Saturday (after 40 hours): -19.37 per hour (time and a half)
• Sunday (after 40 hours): -25.82 per hour

Hours

• Monday to Friday - rotational week to week - (Apply online only) AND (Apply online only)
• Optional Saturdays depending on client requirements
• Ongoing, full-time position

What we''re looking for

• Comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment
• Strong attention to detail when checking vehicles for damage
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to follow site processes
• Happy to learn new systems (scanner training provided)
