Our client, a leading UK manufacturer, is looking for a Driver / General Operative to join their team in Walsall, combining delivery driving with a range of hands-on operational duties.

Driver / General Operative 
Walsall

• Full-Time, Permanent
• £13.30 per hour
• Hours 6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am - 1pm Friday (plus overtime as required).

They are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver / General Operative to join the team in Walsall on a full-time basis.

This is a varied role combining delivery driving duties with general operational tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for making deliveries using a company pick-up vehicle and supporting the day-to-day operations of the business as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely and efficiently using a company pick-up vehicle.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
• Assist with general operative duties within the business.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and suppliers.

Requirements

Essential

• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Proven experience driving pick-up vehicles.
• Good driving history with no major endorsements.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or construction-related environment.
• Forklift licence (if applicable).

Hours 

• Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm
• Friday 6am - 1pm

Additional hours / overtime will be required to suit the demands of the business.
