Driver for Schools 
Location: Edinburgh City Centre
Rate of Pay: £14.51 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday–Friday, 36 hours per week split shifts between 07.00-10.30 & 14.00-17.00
Duration: Temporary 3 months 
Start Date: ASAP

• Valid UK driving licence (D1 desirable but not essential)
• This role is subject to a PVG check – new applicants £59, update applications £18.
• Full training and PPE provided.

• Safely transport passengers to and from school, day centres, and community activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
• Provide assistance when boarding and leaving the vehicle, offering patient and respectful support tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and promptly report any maintenance concerns.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with passengers, families, and staff, promoting a calm and friendly atmosphere.
• Follow all road safety regulations and organisational policies to the highest standard.
• Have previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs or vulnerabilities (highly desirable).
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be compassionate, patient, and committed to safeguarding and well being.
