About the Role
This Driver CSD ADR C YR1 position in Aberdeen offers full-time temporary work through Pertemps, representing BOC. Pay ranges from £19.30 hourly for day shifts to £24.39 for nights. Duties involve transporting liquefied cryogenic gases to industrial and medical customers using tankers and trailers. The holder must follow rigorous safety rules when discharging hazardous materials and handling pressure-regulated equipment. Daily tasks include vehicle walk-around inspections, maintaining digital tachograph records, and completing accurate logs. Occasional overnight stays are required. Applicants need an HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held at least three years, plus ADR certification. Customer interaction and minor repairs also feature.
HGV Class 1 Driver – ADR

- Role: Delivering gas products, operating tankers and trailers, minor vehicle repairs, customer interaction, and occasional overnight working.
- Bulk Delivery: Transporting and delivering high-risk liquefied cryogenic gases to industrial and medical clients.
- Safety Compliance: Operating strict health and safety protocols regarding the discharge of hazardous gas materials and dealing with pressure-regulated tankers.
- Vehicle Care: Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks, tracking digital tachograph records, and keeping exact log details.
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 3 years
- Driver CPC (DQC)
- ADR Class 2 (Tanks)
- Tanker driving experience
- No more than 3 penalty points on licence
- Good knowledge of tachograph legislation and strong safety awareness.
- Assessments: Candidates must complete a site driving assessment and an interview with the client prior to final placement. Full paid site-specific training is provided upon passing.
