About the Role
The Drilling Fluid Engineer role, based in Aberdeen, involves overseeing drilling fluid programs for new wells, workovers, and abandonments for a leading Oil and Energy company. This contract position carries a salary of £200 to £350 per annum. Responsibilities include implementing programs to company standards, monitoring and optimising fluid properties for ideal wellbore conditions, and controlling expenditure. The engineer will ensure quality control and HSE compliance, prepare daily reports, and maintain precise records of volumes, inventory, and costs. Key skills include evaluating and selecting fluid additives based on formation compatibility and downhole conditions.
I am supporting a world-leading Oil and Energy engineering Company, who are seeking an Drilling Fluids Specialist be responsible for the implementation of drilling fluid programs for a variety of drilling projects
Responsibilities
Implement drilling fluid programs for new wells, workovers, and abandonments in accordance with company standards.
Monitor and optimize drilling fluid properties and performance in order to achieve desired wellbore conditions while minimizing costs.
Ensure quality control and compliance with HSE regulations.
Prepare daily drilling fluid reports and maintain accurate records of fluid volumes, product inventory, usage, and costs.
Evaluate and select drilling fluid additives based on their compatibility with formation fluids, anticipated downhole conditions, and desired fluid properties.
