Draughtsperson / Technical Designer

Draughtsperson / Technical Designer / CAD Technican Aldem is working with an established specialist contractor within the scenic construction and bespoke production sector who is looking to appoint an experienced Draughtsperson to join their technical team. This is a hands-on technical role working across a variety of bespoke projects, taking concepts and designs through to detailed construction, workshop and CNC drawings. The Role You will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, working closely with the wider design, project and workshop teams to ensure projects can be manufactured efficiently and delivered to the required standard. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, considering construction methods, materials, budgets and programme requirements when developing technical solutions. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed construction, workshop and CNC drawings. Manage drawing packages from initial concept through to manufacture and completion. Work across multiple projects while maintaining quality and deadlines. Liaise closely with workshop and production teams regarding fabrication queries and drawing amendments. Develop appropriate construction methods, techniques and material specifications. Identify alternative materials and build methods where appropriate.
