A leading provider of advanced engineering solutions are seeking a talented-Draughtsperson-to join their Engineering function. The Draughting Team plays a key role in producing high-quality CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing data, while also supporting best practices across all CAD users.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for a technically skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsperson with experience in 3D modelling and drawing production. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to support the entire design process, from concept development to detailed manufacturing documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for fabrication and assembly, using Autodesk Inventor.
- Operate within bespoke data and drawing management systems, including Autodesk Vault.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous development of products.
- Assist with publishing engineering data through proprietary systems.
- Create concept drawings to support business development and sales activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Sales, Projects) to deliver high-quality products efficiently.
- Maintain professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as required by the Engineering Manager.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault.
- Strong background in multibody part modelling and parametric modelling.
- Experience producing large fabrication and detailed assembly drawings.
- Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in defence, heavy engineering, or related industries.
- Familiarity with engineering data publishing and documentation systems.
