Job Title: Draughtsperson / CAD Technician
Location: 100% Remote (Work from Anywhere in the UK)
Rate: £30-£35 per hour (Outside IR35)
Contract: 3-month term (with strong potential for extension based on performance)
Hours: Flexible - 40 hours per week ideally, but also open to part-time/flexible arrangements for people with the required skills
Sectors: Water, Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, Process (Hazardous Areas - ATEX / DSEAR)
Start date: ASAP
About the Role
EC&I Partners is seeking a skilled Draughtsperson / CAD Technician to support ongoing projects. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings to support our engineering and project teams.
The position offers an initial 3-month contract, with a significant opportunity for extension based on output and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop clear technical documentation.
- Ensure drawings meet company and client standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Manage revisions, updates, and document control of drawings.
- Use MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for project coordination and reporting.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Previous experience in an engineering or technical environment. (desirable)
- Knowledge of industry standards, design processes, and documentation best practices. (desirable)
