Supply Desk is seeking a dynamic and imaginative Drama Teacher to engage and inspire students at a high-performing secondary school in Aylesbury. This role involves delivering Drama lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The role:

We are looking for a committed Drama Teacher to deliver inspiring and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE Drama. The successful candidate will be confident working with students of varying abilities and adept at tailoring lessons to meet individual learning needs. This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supportive school with a strong focus on professional development and a proven track record of successful induction.

Requirements for the Role:


  • A current, valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • Ability to provide references covering the last two years of employment
  • A strong passion for Drama and the performing arts, with the ability to inspire creativity and confidence in students
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Knowledge of the GCSE Drama curriculum and assessment criteria
  • Ability to differentiate lessons effectively to support a range of learning abilities
  • A collaborative and enthusiastic approach to education and a commitment to student development
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities such as school productions or drama clubs
