We are seeking an inspiring and creative Drama Teacher to join our school in Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will spark studentsandrsquo; enthusiasm for drama, supporting them to express themselves, build confidence, and discover the art of performance. This role involves delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned Drama lessons that promote collaboration, creativity, and self-expression across all key stages.
About the Role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama lessons across all key stages, in line with the relevant curriculum.
- Encourage students to explore drama and performance, nurturing their creativity, confidence, and communication abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, offering personalised support to help each student reach their full potential.
- Support the wider school community by assisting with drama productions, showcases, and extracurricular clubs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes student participation and skill development.
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specialising in Drama.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Drama, preferably in a secondary school environment.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant curricula and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to fostering creativity, self-confidence, and teamwork within the school community.
