Job Description:
anduuml;andnbsp; Ignite Creative Expression: Deliver engaging, energetic, and thought-provoking drama lessons that encourage students to explore character, narrative, and performance techniques.
anduuml;andnbsp; Direct and Inspire: Lead school productions, workshops, and extra-curricular drama clubs that showcase student talent and foster a love for the stage.
anduuml;andnbsp; Foster Ensemble Spirit: Promote teamwork, empathy, and self-expression through collaborative rehearsal and devised theatre work.
anduuml;andnbsp; Champion the Curriculum: Plan and assess in line with the KS3andndash;KS5 Drama curriculum, ensuring progression and achievement for all learners.
anduuml;andnbsp; Create a Safe Space: Build a classroom culture where students feel confident to take creative risks and express themselves freely.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
anduuml;andnbsp; Have experience teaching Drama at secondary level, includingandnbsp;GCSEandnbsp;and/orandnbsp;A-Levelandnbsp;(desirable).
anduuml;andnbsp; Be aandnbsp;confident director and facilitator, with aandnbsp;flair for bringing scripts and devised pieces to life.
anduuml;andnbsp; andnbsp;Demonstrateandnbsp;excellent classroom managementandnbsp;and aandnbsp;passion for inclusive, student-centred learning.
anduuml;andnbsp; Be committed toandnbsp;safeguarding and child welfare, holding aandnbsp;current DBS checkandnbsp;(or willing to obtain one).
anduuml;andnbsp; andnbsp;Beandnbsp;imaginative,andnbsp;collaborative, andandnbsp;enthusiastic about the transformative power of theatre.
