A highly successful secondary school in Stevenage is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join its thriving Performing Arts Department on a full-time maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for either an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner who is passionate about Drama and committed to inspiring young people through creativity, performance and academic excellence. The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience and timetable requirements.

The Role

As Drama Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Encourage creativity, confidence and performance skills in students
• Maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour
• Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback
• Contribute to extra-curricular Drama activities, school productions and performances
• Work collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school team-

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards qualification
• Have a genuine passion for Drama and Performing Arts
• Be capable of delivering inspiring lessons that engage and challenge students
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
• Have high expectations of student achievement and behaviour
• Be committed to continuous professional development and school improvement-
