Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Drainage Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining drainage systems to ensure effective water management. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, practical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Duties

• Design and develop drainage systems that comply with local regulations and environmental standards.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate drainage needs and identify potential issues.
• Assemble, plumb, and weld components of drainage systems using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the installation and maintenance of drainage systems.
• Collaborate with contractors, clients, and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
• Utilise basic maths skills for calculations related to system design and material requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge related to drainage systems and construction practices.
• Experience with commercial driving is preferred for transporting equipment to job sites.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for installation tasks.
• Strong basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
• Previous experience as a carpenter or in a related field is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
