Salary:  £13.20 per hour, plus mileage payments

As a Care Worker, you will be a valued member of our domiciliary care team, providing person-centred support in clients’ own homes. You will bring a caring, friendly and compassionate approach to every visit. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will help you reach your full potential.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to older people, people with mental or physical disabilities, and other individuals living in the community.
• Deliver personal care and assist with household tasks.
• Help with shopping for food and other household essentials.
• Prepare and cook meals.
• Administer medication when required.
• Work flexibly on a rota, including some weekends.
• Work primarily on single care calls, while being willing to undertake occasional double care calls where the needs of the client or service require two care workers.

This is primarily a single-care role, and successful applicants will be expected to work independently during the majority of their scheduled calls.

However, there will be occasions where a double-care call is required, for example where a client''s care needs involve two care workers for safe moving and handling or other aspects of care. You will therefore be expected to work as part of a two-person care team when required.

Driver Requirement

Applicants must hold a full UK-valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is desirable
• Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, hospice, or senior care is advantageous
• Assist with moving and handling using equipment
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanour
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
