Salary - £13.50 - £14.00 an hour

Hours - 5pm -11pm and alternate weekends  (minimum 20hours)

Job Description

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence.
• Support clients in managing medication routines and adhering to care plans tailored to their individual needs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ mental health and overall happiness.
• Help with light household chores including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery.
• Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously while documenting care activities accurately in records or digital systems.
• Use your driving skills to safely transport clients to appointments or social activities when required.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license with access to a reliable vehicle is preferred for home visits and transportation duties.
• Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care services is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English to understand care plans and interact with clients confidently.
• Basic IT skills for recording care activities electronically and updating client records efficiently.
• Strong communication skills combined with empathy and patience are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
• Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow prescribed routines accurately ensures high-quality support.
