Domestic Violence Support Worker

BDS Recruitment are looking for a Domestic Violence Support Worker to work with service users fleeing domestic abuse.

The post is available across Liskeard, Launceston and Bodmin.

The successful applicant will have relevant previous experience in the housing sector and prior experience dealing with domestic abuse.

Responsibilities

• Helping Adults and Children settle into their accommodation.
• Be a proactive listener and be able to make the residents feel comfortable.
• Helping residents move on when they feel ready.
• Assisting them with any life changes, e.g. training courses.

This is a temporary ongoing contract to start ASAP, working Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm.

The selected candidate must have a full UK driving licence and have access to a car, and hold an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS issued in the last 12 months or on the update service.
