Domestic Abuse Worker

Eden Brown are seeking a highly efficient and experienced Domestic Abuse Worker on a 2 month contract situated in Manchester

Working for a well known Housing Association your responsibilities for the role as Domestic Abuse Worker:

• Provide specialist advice, support and practical assistance to customers affected by domestic abuse.
• Undertake risk assessments and develop safety plans to reduce risk and improve customer safety.
• Manage a caseload of complex cases, supporting customers to sustain their homes and improve outcomes.
• Support customers to access appropriate external services, specialist agencies and statutory support.
• Deliver trauma-informed interventions tailored to individual needs and circumstances.

Essentially you will have the following experience:

• Knowledge of domestic abuse, coercive control, safeguarding, risk assessment and safety planning.
• Experience of working with vulnerable customers and managing complex cases.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, guidance and best practice relating to housing, safeguarding and domestic abuse.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and partner agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and sensitively.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and use housing and case management systems effectively.
• Experience of partnership working and multi-agency case management.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage competing demands.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this role
