The Domestic Abuse Support Worker will provide trauma-informed, strengths based and needs led support to help victims/survivors increase safety, reduce risk and improve their emotional wellbeing. Through one-to-one tailored interventions, the role will empower victims/survivors to make informed choices, rebuild confidence and access specialist support services. The Domestic Abuse Support Worker will work collaboratively with the Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker and partner agencies, ensuring a coordinated, multi-agency, whole-family approach. They will complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments, develop and regularly review individual safety and support plans, provide advocacy, attend multi-agency meetings and ensure the voice of the victim/survivor informs risk management and safety planning.
