The Opportunity You''ll deliver trauma-informed, survivor-led practical and emotional support alongside home security assessments and target hardening measures, working in partnership with local agencies to reduce risk and increase safety. Women only occupational requirement: This role is restricted to women under Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010. The nature of the work involves providing support to women who have experienced domestic abuse, and Safenet considers it a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder is a woman. What We''re Looking For We believe in recruiting for potential as well as experience. Our ideal candidate will have: Essential: Experience of supporting women affected by domestic abuse and/or related complex needs (e.g., housing insecurity, mental health, substance use), using a trauma-informed and survivor-led approach. Knowledge of safeguarding practice for adults, children and young people, and confidence following organisational/local safeguarding procedures. Ability to complete risk assessments and co-produce safety and support plans, reviewing them as risk changes and working to agreed timescales. Strong communication skills, including the ability to build trust, explain options clearly, maintain professional boundaries, and work in a non-judgemental way. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload, prioritising effectively, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate, timely case notes and monitoring/outcome data. ..... full job details .....
