We are looking for a domestic abuse practitioner with a sound knowledge base and keen interest in working with families where domestic abuse is identified. You will work alongside professionals and support early identification and offer responses and interventions to families. Domestic abuse practitioners are frontline delivery staff mainly positioned in our Family Intensive Support (FIS) team and will work with Family Support Workers providing specialist support to children/young people, survivors, and perpetrators of domestic abuse and those in crisis, to help them live safely and free from violence and abuse. You will also support our groupwork offer with oversight of an appropriate response for families experiencing domestic abuse. The successful candidate will work with children, young people and their families, using a whole family approach and where appropriate identify and implement evidenced-based therapeutic approaches to repair family relationships. Flexible working is required; some evenings, early mornings and weekends may be needed to meet the needs of families and service requirements.Responsibilities

Experience as a domestic abuse practitioner or equivalent, with a sound knowledge base and interest in working with families affected by domestic abuse.Ability to work with children, young people, survivors, and perpetrators of domestic abuse; provide frontline operational delivery.Willingness to contribute to groupwork and provide appropriate responses for families experiencing domestic abuse.Flexible working arrangements and commitment to safeguarding and whole-family approaches.Additional information
