Support worker / Healthcare AssistantThe Support worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and demonstrate compassion.Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients'' own homes. They are vital members of hospital and clinic teams.If you want to care for people and make a positive difference, this could be the ideal job for you.Employers value a friendly, caring attitude, and respect for those needing healthcare support.Previous care experience and/or qualifications are essential.As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Healthcare Assistants.Your duties may include:Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressingServing food or assisting with eatingMaking and changing bedsTurning bedridden patients to prevent pressure soresTalking to patients to reduce anxietyAssisting patients with mobilityManaging bedpans and assisting with toiletingMaintaining cleanliness of wards or homesOrganizing supplies and equipmentYour daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments.
