Our client, a Steel Fabrication company in London, is in urgent need of a Document Controller. You will have experience of working on a construction site (Ideally for a company, similarly, in the steel sector) and will be expected to maintain, organise and update documents for a business using document management software. This includes uploading or scanning paper documents, obtaining documents, and ensuring proper and secure storage.
Responsibilities include:
- Copy, scan and store documents
- Check for accuracy and edit files, like contracts
- Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
- Distribute project-related copies to internal teams
- File documents in physical and digital records
- Create templates for future use
- Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
- Manage the flow of documentation within the organisation
- Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
- Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed
Requirements and skills:
- Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role
- Familiarity with project management
- Basic knowledge of labour and corporate law
- Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
- Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
- Proficient typing and editing skills
- Data organisation skills
- Attention to detail
- BSc degree in Project Management or relevant field preferable but not essential.
- CSCS Card essential
Monday - Friday (days) rate: -22.00p/h PAYE Umbrella (equivalent to -16.56p/h PAYE direct)
