We are currently searching for a Document Controller for of the UK’s most prestigious main contractors. This company boasts over 150 years of delivering projects across all construction sectors and is ranked in the top 10 place best places to work in Europe.

They have just started a new Mod Framework in Reading and need an experienced Document Controller to join the team.

The role:

• Control the flow of all project documents—drawings, specifications, RFIs, technical submittals—ensuring version control and timely distribution.

• Maintain a structured and secure electronic and paper filing system (e.g. via systems like Viewpoint, Asite, Aconex, or SharePoint).
• Keep up-to-date drawing registers, ensuring that all team members are working from the latest revisions.
• Review incoming documents for accuracy, formatting, and compliance with project standards before filing or distribution.
• Issue documents to relevant parties (internal teams, subcontractors, consultants) and track acknowledgments or responses.
• Assist with ISO, QA, and auditing procedures by ensuring records are complete, traceable, and compliant with company protocols.
• Prepare document packs and issue meeting minutes, agendas, and follow-ups where required.
• Work closely with site teams, design managers, and commercial departments to support information flow across the project

Experience Required:

• 3+ years document control experience – this can come from fulfilling a DC role or from having a crossover of duties working as a Site Administrator/ Coordinator/ Secretary.
• Experience using 4Projects/Viewpoint is essential.
• Experience working with a Main Contractor beneficial but not essential.
