JOB DESCRIPTIONLead the future of Building Control in one of London''s most high-profile boroughs.The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking experienced and forward-thinking District Surveyors to play a pivotal role in delivering building safety, regulatory excellence and service transformation within our Building Control Service.This is a rare opportunity for senior Building Control professionals to lead on complex, high-risk and high-profile projects while helping shape the future of building safety in the post-Grenfell regulatory landscape.The OpportunityAs District Surveyor, you will provide both technical and operational leadership across the service, ensuring compliance with evolving legislation whilst delivering a high-quality, customer-focused Building Control function.You will lead the regulation of major developments, oversee governance and compliance requirements, manage and develop Building Control professionals, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, elected members and external stakeholders.What We''re Looking ForWe''re seeking leaders who can combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial and people management skills.You will bring: Chartered membership of CABE, CIOB, RICS or an equivalent professional body. Registration as a Class 3 Building Inspector. Extensive Building Control experience, including major, high-risk and complex developments.
