Distribution Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Distribution Supervisor to oversee the efficient operation of a local distribution depot based in Tunstall, Kent. This role requires a professional who can ensure safe and compliant operations while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day depot operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, transport, and regulatory standards (e.g., Poisons regulations, BASIS, HSE, Fire Regulations). Ensure prompt and accurate distribution of supplies, maintaining accurate stock, cash, and property records. Lead, recruit, develop, and motivate the depot team, overseeing performance, training, and employee lifecycle management. Monitor and maintain site compliance with internal audits and legislation, escalating issues as needed. Implement and uphold service standards, operational procedures, and ways of working. Promote innovation and identify opportunities to drive business performance. Act as safety officer, ensuring a secure and safe working environment for staff and the public. Maintain effective communication within the depot team and with broader distribution and commercial teams. Skills and Experience: Proven experience in depot or distribution management.
