Our client based in Basingstoke are currently looking for Distribution Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.
They are a well-established business offering a great opportunity to work within a brilliant team, you will efficiently manage the scheduling, tracking, and delivery of goods, ensuring timely and accurate shipments while coordinating with suppliers, drivers, and customers to optimise operations
Shift patterns and pay rates:
- -13.06 per hour
- Monday - Thursday 11:00 - 19:30
- Friday 09:00 - 17:30

The role:
- Support the smooth running of outbound warehouse operations.
- Book ELB, M&H, TST and Amazon consignments via the appropriate online portals.
- Monitor and track Scotland orders; liaise with couriers to resolve issues and keep all relevant departments updated.
- Process Duty Free Bond bookings accurately and within required time frames.
- Manage the holding area, ensuring orders requiring rescheduling or return are actioned and communicated to the Distribution Stock team.
- Complete end-of-day returns checks: identify any outstanding returns, investigate and report outcomes to Customer Service and the Distribution Stock team.
- Ensure all tasks are completed in line with vehicle departure schedules and operational deadlines.
- Resolve WMS and day-to-day operational queries promptly.
- Provide support to route planners with daily activities as required.
- Supporting wider warehousing operation when possible.
- Work collaboratively as part of the wider warehouse administration team.
- Maintain consistently high service levels for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Follow Company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times, supporting compliance across the operation.
Skills and Attributes required:
- Good understanding of planning and managing deliveries across London and regional areas.
- Reliable and punctual, with strong time management skills.
- Professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident using ePOD systems and related software.
- Proactive, approachable and customer-focused.
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with both colleagues and customers.
- Calm under pressure with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
