Disrepair Surveyor

Disrepair Surveyor - Barking - 50,000 (Negotiable, Permanent) We are looking for an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join a respected social housing provider in Barking. This is a permanent role offering around 50,000 per year (negotiable depending on experience).The successful candidate must be RICS (or CIOB) qualified with a strong background in social housing disrepair cases. You will take responsibility for inspections, schedules of disrepair, technical reporting, and expert witness work. Key responsibilities include:Carrying out detailed inspections of properties and diagnosing disrepair issuesPreparing schedules of disrepair and recommending remedial worksProducing expert witness reports in line with Part 35 of Civil Procedure RulesAdvising landlords, tenants and legal representatives on disrepair mattersAttending site meetings, joint inspections, and court when requiredSupporting housing teams on damp, mould, and structural casesKeeping up to date with housing legislation and best practice Requirements:RICS or CIOB qualified (RICS preferred)Proven social housing disrepair experienceStrong knowledge of housing legislation, landlord and tenant law, and building regulationsExperience acting as an expert witness and producing Part 35 compliant reportsFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Benefits include: 50,000 negotiable salaryPrivate Medical InsurancePension schemeGroup Life Assurance26 days paid holiday plus bank holidaysFamily-friendly policies and ..... full job details .....
