The successful postholder will lead on damp, mould and disrepair cases across their housing stock.Responsibilities of the Disrepair Lead:Managing cases of damp, mould and disrepair from report to resolution, keeping records and making sure residents are kept informed.Inspecting properties for damp, mould, condensation, leaks, penetrating damp, and structural issues.Investigating the underlying causeCoordinating repairs with maintenance teams, contractors, surveyors, and other departments.Prioritising higher-risk casesArranging mould treatment and remedial worksMonitoring trends and repeat cases to identify recurring building or maintenance problems.Advising residents on practical measures around ventilation, heating and condensationEnsuring compliance with relevant housing, health and safety, and organisational requirements.Producing reports and performance information for managers, housing teams or senior leadership.
